3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (Members of the audience are invited to address the City Council on any

item not on the agenda. Under the provisions of the Brown Act, the legislative body is prohibited from

taking or engaging in discussion on any item not appearing on the posted agenda. However, your concerns

may be referred to staff or set for discussion at a later date. If you desire to address the City Council on an

item on this agenda, other than a scheduled public hearing item you may do so at this time or asked to be

heard when that agenda item is considered. Comments on public hearing items will be considered when

that item is scheduled for discussion. The Public Comment period is limited to 30 minutes. Each speaker

shall be limited to three (3) minutes.)

(1) No. 08-52, A Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Dimas approving certain

demands for the month of September 2008.

b. Approval of minutes for regular meeting of September 9, 2008 and special meeting of September

9, 2008.

5. PUBLIC HEARING

(The following item has been advertised and/or posted. The meeting will be opened to receive public

testimony.)

a. Consider acquisition for Open Space purposes of 60+ acres of property known as the Vista Verde

Residential Project.

6. OTHER BUSINESS

a. Consider taking a position on the Bonita Unified School District Bond proposal on the November

2008 ballot.

b. Consider adopting Amended Standardized Conflict of Interest Code for Designated Employees

RESOLUTION NO. 08-53, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SAN DIMAS ADOPTING A STANDARDIZED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE FOR

DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES.

c. Consider request from "Care for the Children" to paint Citywide Curb addresses and contribute a

portion of the net proceeds to San Dimas Senior Club.

d. Approve Jackie Bristow Memorial 5K and 1 mile running road race on January 3, 2009.

Restricted closure of certain streets within the downtown area on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from

6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

e. Cash Contract No. 2008-08, Bonita Avenue Hardscape, Traffic Signal, and Street lighting

improvements et al project:

1) Appropriation of an additional $75,000 from the General Fund to bring the total project

budget to $405,000.

2) Award of Cash Contract to California Professional Engineering, Inc. for a total contract

amount of $233,598.70.

7. SAN DIMAS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

a. Oral Communications (This is the time set aside for members of the audience to address the

Board. Speakers are limited to three minutes.)

b. Approval of Minutes for meeting of September 9, 2008.

c. Executive Director

1) Verbal Report regarding the Walker House renovation project update.
